How do you become a worthwhile person in your own self-development? One thing is having a positive attitude and perspective about your life and where you are right now. Even if you feel miserable in your job find something to be grateful for about it. Challenge yourself and write a list of 30 things you are grateful for about your current job. This should challenge you and stretch you a bit. Carry this list with you in your pocket or purse. On a rough day at work, pull it out and review it. Can’t hit 30? I’ll try to get you started.
Do you have insurance? Awesome! You have access to affordable health care and have the luxury of going to the doctors for antibiotics if you were to catch a virus or infection.
Do you get paid vacation time? Beautiful! Most people in the world can’t even fathom making money when they did not work for it.
Do you have a 7 day supply of food in your home while working only 5 days a week? Count your blessings- the majority of the world has to work daily just to eat and survive.
Do you have a roof over your head, car to drive, enjoy going out to eat on occasion? Great- the job you hate paid for that. Thank God for your blessing.
