Quotes on Career To Get More Inspiration:
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mohandas K. Gandhi
“Desire! That’s the one secret of every man’s career. Not education. Not being born with hidden talents. Desire.” – Johnny Carson
“I was made to work. If you are equally industrious, you will be equally successful.” – Thomas A. Edison
“To find a career to which you are adapted by nature, and then to work hard at it, is about as near to a formula for success and happiness as the world provides. One of the fortunate aspects of this formula is that, granted the right career has been found, the hard work takes care of itself. Then hard work is not hard work at all.” – Mark Sullivan
“It’s not what you achieve, it’s what you overcome. That’s what defines your career.” – Carlton Fisk
These are some of my favorite quotes regarding work and careers. Work should be an expression of yourself and if you operate in alignment with your talents, passions, purpose, skills, etc…it also is a form of worship. St Irenaneous stated that “Man fully alive is the glory of God.” I agree with this quote 100%.
How many of us go day in and day out in jobs that suck the life out of us? I felt like this almost daily as I continued to show up and work in a job that was misaligned with my purpose. It wasn’t until I took full responsibility for my life and began the process of learning what ideal work was for me that my day job became more bearable. When I finally knew where I was going I could stay in the job I hated through the transitional period because I had hope.
The journey was not easy and at times I grew very impatient and weary and the slow pace of the business. But I kept going. I encourage you to stay strong and stick to it in your own journey. Remember you are not alone. When you feel to weak to go on- lean on your supports. Reach out to those God placed in your life for encouragement. We are not meant to go it alone!
Question: What is your favorite quote? What do you do when you grow weary in your transition?
