“You’re a life coach? Aren’t you a bit young to be a life coach?”
“You’re a life coach in Michigan? This isn’t the market for that. The demand for a life coach is in NYC.”
In the very first months of growing Moved by Purpose, those were the questions people asked me. I could have allowed that to discourage me. I could have given weight to what people thought and folded my hand before I even had a chance to play.
I’m so glad that I didn’t. If you are starting a venture in your life, don’t allow the judgement of other people to stop you.
So what if I was 26 at the time of starting Moved by Purpose? They didn’t know the power I had in life to qualify me to be a very good life coach. Little did they know that most of who I would end up working with were Master’s level or Phd. level therapists and pastors.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Tim 4:12
It’s not my age that qualifies me. It’s my Creator that has called me.
“You’re a life coach in Michigan? This isn’t the market for that. The demand for a life coach is in NYC.” In the age of the internet, my clients live all over the world. Location doesn’t matter because I have been intentional about building a business that is location independent.
I am a life coach in Michigan that teaches you how to create a life and work that you love. I help you uncover and fulfill your purpose. I practice what I preach and believe in my message. And as far as I am concerned- everyone has a longing to fulfill their purpose. They were created for a purpose, and won’t find fulfillment in life until they are in alignment with their purpose.
Over to you. What is your dream? What have the critics said about it? Have you countered the critics with the truth? Have you listened to them? What happened?
