Have you ever thought to yourself, “I am working waaayyy too hard for such little results?”
I certainly have! Building a business is hard work. It takes time, effort, money, etc. But it really doesn’t have to take as much as we think it does if we do the right strategies for the proper amount of time.
I was in a day job that I did not enjoy at all. I knew the job was not a proper fit for how I am wired. I was not able to use any of my passions in the Social Worker position I had.
When I discovered what my ideal work looked like, I immediately began to build my dream job. I built my business during my weeknights and weekends. I would work a 40 hour work week in my day job and then spend another 40 hours building my business. I did this for 6 months and only made $300!
I knew that this business was my calling. It lined up with everything I loved. I came alive when I did it. Yet, it also threw me off at the lack of progress. I began to second guess if I made the right decision. I often thought “if this is my purpose, it should be easier than this”.
I was learning a lot, and doing many things right. I was also doing some things wrong.
